Am I Really Living In THIS Time Period? Wow…

To quote Pastor Paul Begley, “Are You Serious?”

It’s an amazing time – for those that have eyes to see it as it is – I’m so honored to be a part of this time in history! If you are open to seeing what I see, I’m happy to help adjust your perspective…

Let me explain where I am coming from.  I like to take a step back (contextually) when looking at something – so that I can capture as much context as possible. The more I do this during these times that we are living in, the more amazed I become. Given my worldview, I experience it as an awesome time! If I carried a more traditional (secular) worldview, these times may seem very dark, scary, and even undesirable.

If you’ve followed my blog for the past few months, then you surely know that I have what could be called a “Christian” worldview. Here’s the truly amazing part of it all – when you overlay the bible on top of the world events of today, it becomes a “key” to explain what’s happening in our world right now. Of course, you can’t just grab random events from our time that match with biblical prophecy and call it done – but if you look at everything that is happening right now, you will find an uncharacteristically high number of parallels between the Bible and  this time we live in. For those of us that love Jesus, and know that in Him we have eternal life, then the times are simply confirmation of where we are in God’s great timeline, and it’s very exciting.

This article is not going to be one where we dissect a ton of world events, with lots of math, graphs and spreadsheets – those that know me know that’s not who I am – I’m the “big picture” guy (if you need/want the math and numbers parts, head over to my friend Daniel Matson’s site http://watchfortheday.org – he’s a master with the numerical significances in God’s universe.) All I’m going to do is list below some big picture trends that I am seeing. Some of these trends may have actually been sources of fear for many of you – now switch to a different view – what if those events were simply indicators along a known path, one which we’ve (Christians) been guaranteed safety through to the end?

The bible has many statements about what is commonly referred to as the “Church Age” that we live in now, and is age is ending (very) soon. Taken separately, these events may be easy to call it coincidence – but taken together, considering the sheer number of “matches” occurring, demands a deeper look – and suddenly the statistical probabilities start to make coincidence inconsiderable. Below I’ll list a few topics, and under each just some bullet items from our time that apply, along with appropriate supporting material. Just take a quick scan at the list, and then you can decide if this is order, or happenstance.

NOTE: these topics will be brief – links will be provided were appropriate for further study.

Evil has existed since the Dawn of time

Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

For centuries, there have been people/forces with a desire to take over the world (Luciferians, Masons, New World Order.) It’s not conspiracy theory, WW1, WW2, and WW3 have been engineered since the 1800s to bring about a (not so desirous) change. Read Albert Pike’s letter from the 1800’s.

Lucifer/Satan is described from many angles in the Bible, and with this we know that evil has existed since the dawn of time and has a leader, then we know why there are mass shootings, and 60+ Million babies since legalized in the US.

Interesting thing is that Satan knows as much about the bible as any of us Christians on earth – so he knows that he is guaranteed to lose the ultimate battle – yet he still exists because the more that he can destroy (or simply get to deny Christ) the more there will be to exist with him in the eternal lake of fire. Don’t fall for the trap.

Wars, and rumors of wars

Matthew 24:6: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet”

Speaking of wars, let’s look at just this year. The middle east has been at war (it seems) all of my life. Again understanding the bible makes it clear – Israel is land that God promised to his people (Jews.) Anyone that tries to take it away is short-lived, and has to deal with the wrath of God.

In addition to middle-eastern wars, we also have the threat of North Korea and Iran, two “rogue” nations with nuclear capability. And that’s just this year. If we go back 100 years, we probably have 25x more wars.

Government Evil (covered up by Fake News)

Isaiah 59, vs 4, 8-9, 14-15: “None calls for justice, nor any pleads for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief [evil] and bring forth iniquity…there is no judgment [justice] in their goings: they have made them crooked paths…Therefore is judgment far from us, neither does justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness…And judgment [justice] is turned away backward, and justice [righteousness] stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yes, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no judgment.

This one ties together several of those points already made – our government is full of evil. For the last 2 centuries, there have been forces at work to create a one-world government, one-world religion, and two classes of people – haves and have-nots. Unfortunately, the depth of this corruption is not covered well by mainstream media – and in fact many times media is complicit in furthering the evil.

Take this past election for example. If you are still watching mainstream news, then at this point you probably still think that Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election. If you were to watch some alternative news sources that are not paid for by the very evil in the world that they are used to purport, then you would realize that there is a very high level “purge” going on in our upper governments – involving Murder, Money Laundering, Pedophilia and more – and you’d also be surprised to see the names Clinton, Obama, Pedestal, in not-so-very-good of a light.

Israel

Deuteronomy 7:6: “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.”

The majority of people who study biblical prophecy will tell you – to know when Jesus returns for his saints, just keep your eyes on Israel – it’s one of the main indications of how close we are to God coming for his elect.

The bible also speaks of wars of the end times (Ezekiel 38, 39 and Psalm 83 to name several.) And most of these wars involve – you guessed it – Israel. The good news (if you are Israel) is that God (and His people) prevail – but Israel in conflict is a sign of the end of the Church Age.

Apostasy

2 Thessalonians 2:3: “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first”

Apostasy is one of those funny, church-y words. Apostasy means “a falling away” and where it is used in the bible, it actually refers to the church (Christians.) It says that in the end there will be a falling away within the Christian faith. Take a look at most “mainstream” churches across our country – many will tell you that the Good News (of Christ) has become watered down – and Satan has even infiltrated some of those organizations, teaching false doctrine. Prophesy is rarely taught. In fact, one we run into all of the time when Christians believe that we can not know the time of Christ’s arrival for his Church – even though the bible says we can, and we are commanded to watch. Instead, many will spout the doctrine that they memorized from church “Ye shall not know the day or the hour.” Its a classic lesson of taking scripture out of context

False Prophets

Matthew 24:5, 11-12 “For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and will mislead many…And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

For an example of False Prophets, just take an evening and trip through YouTube – and look how many people have end times videos that say something to the effect of – “God told me in a dream {and then they imply that it must be true.}” The bible gives us instruction on how to avoid false prophets, and to seek additional witnesses as confirmation.  Could  God still uses prophets in this day? Absolutely – we would need to just apply the test of a true prophet- but the requirements are pretty high – here’s a great site that goes through an overview of what is required. We just have a bit too many self-proclaimed prophets in our time, so we must be careful.

The net result of this is, as the scripture says, it causes hearts to grow cold.  Cold toward God and His promises to us. In other words, it causes people to drift back into their slumber, and not continue to look, watch, and analyze the times of His return. I believe that this is how so much of the mainstream church in our country has become “asleep” to prophecy, and Jesus’ coming for his Bride.

Just a heads up – be careful the other way as well – just because someone is watching for Jesus’ return (as the bible directs) and says “It looks like He might come XX Day”does not mean that they are claiming to be a prophet (Unless they say “Thus sayeth the lord!” No, these people are just doing what the bible commands of us in the end times, watching and looking for the signs.

Disasters / Weather

Luke 21:25: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”

We’ve all watched the east and gulf coasts of our country get destroyed by a HUGE hurricane season, with 10+ so far above Category 1 – with Harvey, Irma, and Jose becoming household names – names that families in Florida, Puerto Rico, and Texas will not soon forget.

(From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Atlantic_hurricane_season )

Luke 21:11:  And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

How about earthquakes? Had a few of those recently, just ask some folks in Mexico. The recently discovered fault through Idaho has had a few swarms of earthquakes over the last few months ( https://www.cbsnews.com/news/idaho-fault-line-could-spur-75-magnitude-quake/ ).  In addition, many of us did not know what a Super Volcano was, until be became familiar with the Yellowstone Caldera, with swarms of earthquakes large enough to send the buffalo running out of the park. Speaking of volcanoes , the “Ring of Fire” through Asia has had a significant spike in active volcanoes. Click the image below:

It’s also increasing – see trends here.

Famines/Plagues

Matthew 24:7: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences

For this category, simply search the web or youtube for 2017 famines and plagues, and you will find entire countries starving (for various reasons) as well as outbreaks of plagues that were long thought to be dormant. Consider Madagascar.

It, too, appears to be on the uptick – see Wikipedia

Mass Animal Deaths

Hosea 4:3:  Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

This also does not make it into the mainstream news too much, but it’s happening. Not just this year, the video below is from 2015 – and it’s still happening today – take a look.

Scoffers

2 Peter 3: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts…”

If you’ve attempted to share any of these end-times signals with anyone, you likely know what I’m talking about. These things are so outside of people’s “normal” – and outside of the mainstream news feeds that folks take, so they “scoff” at us. The Bible promised that this would actually be a sign of the end times!  Please, if you have Christ in your heart, do not scoff – it’s not compatible with Christ within you. I wrote an earlier article to help folks think outside of “normal” – if you missed it, here it is.

Conclusion

My intention for this article was for it to be a “wake-up” call. If you are simply going through the motions in life right now, take a moment to pause, and consider all that I’ve presented here. Things are happening, and they are happening in a very big way, precisely according to how God’s Word said that it would happen.

If you are a Christian, please consider your salvation, and get yourself right with God – the time is short – and when the last trumpet sounds, there will be no “do overs” – we need to have our salvation “dialed” before that occurs.

If you do not have Jesus in your life, I strongly encourage you to consider doing so. I have attempted (as much as one blog post can) to show you that not only are the things of this world NOT random, they are in fact masterfully planned and executed – and if you will give it a chance, the bible can explain much of what is happening. It’s infinitely deeper than I could ever attempt to illustrate in one post. Please, consider believing in Jesus – Click here if you do not know how to do that – it’s the easiest, and most important decision you can make in your life. Trust me, you do NOT want to be on this earth after God calls home his people. If you miss this single event, within seconds you will wish you had not – so please consider Jesus right now.

And as we approach the end, remember that a) most mainstream news sources have an agenda that may not be to present important, factual information. In fact, there’s an agenda at work that is very counter to truth. And remember – this whole thing is a battle of good and evil that has been happening since the end of time – and by trusting in Jesus, you are guaranteed to miss the really messy part (tribulation.) Oh, and yeah, there’s the eternal life part.

This is the hope that I carry with me every day. I hope you have it as well.
